Joyce Riley and our Vets
Has anyone listened to Joyce Riley from Monday Dec. 6th?
When you hear the passion in her voice and the commitment to this cause you can’t help but to ask how come the rest of America isn’t hearing what we are on C2C? If you at all follow the news you read about how our vets are being shot up and coming home disabled but no major news paper or TV program is bringing to light the issues J. Riley is addressing. How many more of our people will have to suffer?

Amen. The lack of necessary supplies for our troops, including armored Humvees, is very disturbing. Now that one soldier has asked Donald Rumsfeld the $64.000 question about why they can't get armor for the Humvees, it seems the government has managed to get around to asking the company that makes armored Humvees to step up production. The company says it can do this.
As Joyce Riley said, people display yellow ribbons and talk about supporting the troops, but what exactly are we doing to support the troops? And now we read that a few of the vets that served in Iraq are showing up as homeless. And then there is the VA in Illinois that, it was just learned, is very stingy with providing medical benefits for our vets.
Let the president, who struts around bragging that he is a war time president and that he is giving the troops everything they need, put his money where his mouth is.
